Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from buyers sourcing this equipment range from China.

Can you replace an existing exchanger without changing the piping?

Yes. We work from your drawing or a site sketch and keep the fixed constraints: nozzle positions and ratings, maximum shell diameter, overall length, centreline height and bundle pull direction. The datasheet and general arrangement drawing are returned for approval before fabrication starts.

Which design codes can the exchangers be built to?

Units are normally designed to GB/T 151 or to ASME Section VIII Division 1 with TEMA mechanical standards, depending on the project requirement. The code is fixed in the purchase order and carried consistently on the drawings, calculations and nameplate.

What information do you need to prepare a quotation?

The process data sheet (flow rates, inlet and outlet temperatures, allowable pressure drop, fouling resistance), materials of construction, connection sizes and ratings, inspection requirements, quantity and destination port. If the unit is a replacement, add the existing drawing or key dimensions.

Can a replacement bundle or spare parts be supplied on their own?

Yes. Tube bundles, tubes, baffles, gaskets and bolting can be supplied against the original drawing or measured dimensions, which is often the fastest route when the shell is still serviceable.

Need this specification quoted?

Send the design conditions, quantity and destination port. We reply within 24 hours on business days.
